LE 12e SALON INTERNATIONAL DE LA CERAMIQUE ANCIENNE ET DES OBJETS DE COLLECTION S’INSTALLE CHEZ SOLVAY A BRUXELLES
Cette année, l’association « Les Antiquaires en Céramique ancienne » profite d’une opportunité unique, occuper les locaux du très prestigieux Groupe Solvay situés à deux pas de l’avenue Louise. Du 27 avril au 1er mai, l’association y réunira une vingtaine d’exposants belges, français et anglais spécialisés dans les arts du feu et les objets de collections à l’occasion de la 12e édition du Salon international de la Céramique ancienne et des objets de collections. Cet événement à la fois culturel et commercial donne rendez-vous aux collectionneurs et aux amateurs de faïence, de porcelaine, de biscuit, d’émaux et de verre mais également à tous les passionnés de beaux objets anciens et de curiosités. L’année 2011 avait été marquée par deux innovations majeures qui ont réorienté le salon de manière décisive et positive en terme de fréquentation et de ventes. Tout d’abord, pour répondre à une demande croissante du public pour les objets de collections et pour attirer un public d’amateurs plus large et plus jeune, le Salon avait accueilli des antiquaires de référence dans le domaine des objets de collection, à savoir : archéologie européenne, sculptures, bronzes, armes, étain, orfèvrerie, objets de vertu, miniatures, livres, pendules, arts asiatiques et objets de curiosité et de vitrine. En toute logique, la manifestation prenait une nouvelle appellation de « Salon international de la Céramique ancienne et des Objets de collection. » La seconde innovation concernait l’espace de l’exposition. Après dix ans d’hospitalité offerte par le château d’Enghien, le Salon international de la Céramique ancienne avait décidé de se rapprocher de Bruxelles et du cœur de l’Europe. Cette année, c’est le site Solvay qui sera l’hôte du Salon. L’événement profite de l’opportunité du déménagement du grand groupe pour occuper ses lieux prestigieux avant leur réaffectation.

NEEMT ZIJN INTREK IN HET SOLVAY GEBOUW IN BRUSSEL
Dit jaar grijpt de vereniging « De Antiquairs in Oude Keramiek » een unieke kans. Ze neemt namelijk de lokalen van de zeer prestigieuze Groep Solvay in die op een steenworp van de Louizalaan liggen. Van 27 april tot 1 mei brengt de vereniging een twintigtal Belgische, Franse en Engelse exposanten samen, gespecialiseerd in keramiek naar aanleiding van de 12e editie van het Internationaal Salon van de Oude Keramiek en Verzamelobjecten. Dit commerciële en tegelijk culturele evenement is dé ontmoetingsplaats bij uitstek voor liefhebbers en verzamelaars van faience, porselein, biscuit, email- en glaswerk, maar eveneens voor alle fans van oude, mooie objecten en curiositeiten. Het jaar 2011 kende twee belangrijke vernieuwingen die het salon op overtuigende en positieve wijze hebben geheroriënteerd op gebied van bezoekersaantallen en verkoopcijfers. Ten eerste heeft het Salon om te beantwoorden aan een stijgende vraag voor verzamelobjecten en om een breder publiek van liefhebbers aan te trekken, vooraanstaande antiquairs op het gebied van verzamelobjecten ontvangen, met name Europese archeologie, beeldhouwwerken, bronzen, wapens, keramiek, tin, zilverwerk, ‘objets de vertu’, miniaturen, ivoor, pendules, Aziatische kunst en curiositeiten- en vitrine objecten. Volgens die logica nam het salon dan ook de nieuwe naam « Internationaal Salon van de Oude Keramiek en Verzamelobjecten » aan. De tweede vernieuwing had betrekking tot de tentoonstellingsruimte. Na tien jaar gastvrij te zijn ontvangen door het Kasteel van Edingen heeft het salon besloten toenadering te zoeken tot Brussel en Europa. Dit jaar is het de site Solvay die het Salon onthaald. Het evenement profiteert van de verhuizing van de grote groep om de prestigieuze locatie in te nemen voor de herbestemming.

This year, the association « Les Antiquaires en Céramique ancienne » takes advantage of a unique opportunity, namely occupying the premises of the very prestigious Groupe Solvay situated at a stone’s throw from Avenue Louise. From April 27 to May 1, the association unites some twenty Belgian, French and English specialists in the arts of ceramics and collection objects for the 12th edition of the International Fair of Antique Ceramics and Collection Objects. This event, both commercial and cultural, is the meeting place for collectors and aficionados of faience, porcelain, biscuit ware, enamel, glass but also for everybody who is passionate about beautiful antique items and curiosity objects. The year 2011 was marked by two major innovations that reoriented the fair in a decisive and positive way concerning frequentation and sales. First of all, to meet a growing public demand for collection objects and to attract a wide public of amateurs, the Fair welcomed leading antiquarians in the field of collectors’ items, namely: European archaeology, sculpture, bronzes, weapons and militaria, pewter, gold, silver and jewellery, objets de vertu, miniatures, books, pendants, Asian art and shop window curiosities. Hence, the event now uses the new name “International Fair of Antique Ceramics and Collection Objects”. The second innovation concerned the exhibition space. After being welcomed during ten years in the Enghien castle, the International Fair of Antique Ceramics and Collection Objects decided to move to Brussels and the heart of Europe. This year, the fair is organised at the Solvay site. The fair takes advantage of the fact that the big group moves so it can occupy its new spaces before the redevelopment.
